Objective: To explore the value of brainstem auditory evoked potential(BAEP),somatosensorv evoked potential(SEP) and visual evoke potential(VEP) in the diagnosis of subclinical hepatic encephalopathy(SHE).Method: BAEP,SEP and VEP were tested in 50 cirrhotic patients with SHE.Result: In the 50 patients, the abnormal rates of uses of BAEP,SEP and VEP were 54%,36% and 22% respectively. And with the increasing of child-pugh grade, the abnormal rates also increased. Conclusion: It is important for cirrhotic patients with SHE to perform multiple kinds of evoked potentials and EP measurement are helpful to the early diagnosis of subclinical hepatic encephalopathy(SHE).
