Solid acid is a good catalyst that can be a substitute for sulphuric acid in organic synthesis. The synthetic methods of cyclohexyl acetate catalyzed by solid acids such as sulfonic acids, inorganic salts, solid super acid, heteropoly acid, molecular sieve, etc are reviewed. The methyl sulfonate, amino sulfonic acid, strongly acidic cation-exchange resin, sodium bisulfate monohydrate, solid super acid, heteropoly acid are suitable for catalytic synthesis of cylohexyl acetate.
