摘要
This article presents a novel hybrid-flux dual-mechanical-port dual-electrical-port machine (DMP-DEPM) and its analytical model. The design features radial flux (RF) coils, and transverse flux (TF) coils that are spatially perpendicular to each other, thus reducing the interaction between the two sets of windings. The inner rotor connects to an internal combustion engine, serving as a mechanical input, while the outer rotor links to a gearbox, acting as a torque output. This dual-electrical-port configuration addresses the limitations of single-electrical-port transverse flux machines in hybrid electric vehicles, enabling simultaneous operation as a motor and generator. In motor mode, it offers higher torque density and efficiency than dual-rotor transverse flux machines. The article outlines the design, operational principles, and an analytical model using the equivalent magnetic circuit method. Optimization and parameter selection are discussed, and finite-element analysis (FEA) is used to examine characteristics such as flux density and back electromotive force (EMF). A prototype is tested, showing experimental results that align closely with simulations, confirming the effectiveness of the decoupling mechanism in dual windings.
