The percentage of women in the workforce shows a significant increase, but women are still under represented in managerial position. Women still face barriers that prevent them from developing their careers. Glass ceiling illustrates barriers faced by women to achieve leadership position. This study aims to analyze women's beliefs about glass ceiling in the workplace. The study was conducted with an online survey, involving 125 women who work in various industrial sectors in Indonesia. The results showed that women have different perception about glass ceiling, based on marital status and children in the family. These findings imply that organization needs to prevent glass ceiling in the workplace, including by providing equal employment opportunities for men and women when they are recruited by organization, as well as promotion to upper level positions in organization which based on competency regardless gender.
