Phytochemistry and Bioactivities of Biflavonoids

Biflavonoids are a category of naturally dimers composed of monomeric flavonoid, which have been most widely studied in recent decades for the swift progress of biflavonoids relative techniques. This article first reviews phytochemistry and bioactivities of biflavonoids. After the presentation new typical biflavonoids found in the past several years and semior or total synthesis of biflavonoids, the major pharmacological activeties of biflavonoids in the relevant researches were introduced in detail, which make a great contribution in chemical constituents studies of biflavonoids in future.
