Acetylene to benzene conversion on Pd(111). A simulation study

A simple random sequential adsorption model (RSA) has been applied in order to study the acetylene to benzene reaction on Pd(111). The main characteristics of reaction, i.e., the existence of an acetylene coverage threshold and the maximum amount of benzene, no more than 30% are well described by this model without using any energetic parameter.
