Underlying mechanisms of the synergistic role of Li2MnO3 and LiNi1/3Co1/3Mn1/3O2 in high-Mn, Li-rich oxides

Synergistic roles of Li₂MnO₃ and NCM experimentally observed in high-Mn, Li-rich oxides were theoretically elucidated through the crystal field stabilisation of electronic structures, which reveals that NCM stabilises the transition metal layer of Li₂MnO₃.
