摘要
While inert atmosphere gloveboxes greatly facilitate the manipulation and storage of air sensitive materials, standard systems are often unsuitable for synthesis and purification procedures. A variety of apparatus and techniques have been developed to allow otherwise complex or hazardous procedures to be performed entirely inside a glovebox. These include a recirculating inert liquid heat exchange system to provide localized cooling for high temperature processes and a refrigerated immersion probe feedthrough for low temperature operations and for the condensation and removal of solvent vapors. In addition, a compact system for preparative liquid chromatography is described, together with feedthroughs and procedures for direct anaerobic transfer of liquids into and out of a glovebox.
