They propose a new classification system of the PTC syndrome, depending on whether the syndrome is primary, secondary, atypical, or pseudo-PTC. It is an excellent reference for readers who seek a synopsis and bibliography of the extensive literature on the subject. Much has been published on this syndrome without definitive enlightenment as to its cause, and there are currently no prospective studies upon which to base our treatment. …
