Quorum Sensing Mechanism of Plant Bacterial Pathogens and Its Application

Quorum sensing is a cell-density-dependent regulatory mechanism.Many bacteria can secrete one or more kinds of signal molecules.They utilize signal molecules to sense cell density and regulate target genes expression.A number of quorum sensing systems have been found in Gram-positive and in Gram-negative bacteria,which control the expression of multiple genes.This review focuses on the latest research and function of quorum sensing.
