Studies on the Secondary Metabolites of a Marine Mangrove Fungus Paecilomyces sp. Tree 1-7

The metatrophic fungus Paecilomyces sp.(Tree1-7) was isolated from an estuarine mangrove from the Taiwan Strait.Alaternin(1),5,8-dihydroxy-4-methyl-coumarin(2) and 3-hydroxy-3,6-dimethyl-2,5-piperazine(3) were confirmed by spectroscopic experiments.It was found that alaternin(1) exhibited strong antitumor activity(IC50=7.0 μg/mL),and good in vitro activity against acetylcholineesterase(AChE)(IC50=0.87 μg/mL) firstly.
