The Structure of Kunming Quasi－Stationary Front

By using the observed data, ten canonical cases of Kunming quasi－stationary front(KQSF) during 1993－1995 in winter and spring seasons are studied. The results show that the KQSF appears as a quasi－northsouth direction and lies in 103.5°～104°E. It is a shallow weather system with vertical height about 700 hPa level. Because of influence of Yunnan and Guizhou Plateau, KQSF’s structure is different from a general cold front in temperature field, humidity field and wind field in the low layer, etc.
