Lithium vanadium phosphate( Li3V2(PO4)3) compound with higher lithium-ion diffusion coefficient,charge-discharge voltage plateau,capacity density and specific capacity than that of LiFePO 4 has become one of the hot topics of the cathode material for lithium-ion battery. In recent years major synthesis,charge / discharge mechanism and doping modification of Li3V2(PO4)3 were reviewed and the research trends of Li3V2(PO4)3 cathode material was also prospected.
