Effect of temperature on characteristic of Zn-Ni primary battery

The ZR6 type Zn-Ni primary battery composed of Zn negative electrode and NiOOH positive electrode was introduced in this paper. The NiOOH is self-made. The discharge performance of Zn-Ni batteries at various temperatures were compared with that of Zn-MnO2 batteries. The experimental results showed that, the capacity of the Zn-Ni primary battery discharged to 1. 10V at 500mA constant current, was two times as that of the alkaline Zn - MnO2 battery at 25℃, and five times as that of alkaline Zn - MnO2 battery in same discharge condition at - 15℃.
