摘要
Recent work on electron transport through classically chaotic heterostructure systems is briefly reviewed. The use of tunnel-current spectroscopy to map the energy levels of the classically chaotic electron motion in a quantum well at high magnetic field is described in detail. This technique provides the first experimental evidence for the periodic scarring of individual wavefunctions in a chaotic system.
