T cell vaccination induces regulatory T cell response in BALB/c mice

Objective To investigate regulatory T cell response induced by T cell vaccination. Methods BALB/c mice were vaccinated with activated OVA-specific T cell clones expanded in vitro. Cell proliferation was measured by 3H-TdR incorporation. CTL response was assayed by JAM test. Indirect immuno-fluorescent assay was used to examine the anti-T cell antibody level. Results T cell vaccination induced regulatory T cell response including T cell proliferation, CTL activity and antibody response targeting activated T cells. Conclusion Regulatory T cell response can be induced by T cell vaccination in normal mice.
