Shape Memory Alloy (SMA) is one class of smart material which has been shown of broad application prospects in structural vibration control. In this paper, based on the special features of shape memory alloy in shape memory effect, superelastic property and high damping capacity,etc., the state-of-the-art researches of SMA on structural vibration control are summarized in three aspects of passive control, active control, and intelligent control, respectively. Finally, the prospects for further research are recommended.
