An analysis about the curriculum of Data Journalism in China

During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, media widely used big data technology to produce various news, and data journalism has become an essential part of the news. Systematic data journalism education is a crucial guarantee for the output of relevant talents to the industry. At present, domestic academic circles pay more attention to the theory of data journalism. However, there are little researches on data journalism teaching, and no systematic teaching methods and strategies have been formed. The research achievements of this paper summarize the existing situation of data journalism through course characteristics, teachers' backgrounds, professional settings, teaching materials, and other issues. Make conclusions about the systematic teaching plans and resources, provide optimization advice to enhance data journalism education's quality, and better promote data journalism's development.
