P‐240: Late‐News Poster: Smoke‐Anti‐Reflection Films for Display Visibility Improvement: Ambient Contrast Ratio Consideration

We have demonstrated the novel concept of smoke‐anti‐reflection (smoke‐AR) films, which enhance visibility of display under ambient light. The displays with the newly developed smoke‐AR film had approximately 40% higher ambient contrast ratio than that with a conventional clear AR film. The smoke‐AR film is particularly beneficial for display applications that require visibility under strong lighting.
