Schizophrenia: `the biggy in mental health’

As many as half of psychiatric outpatients that are diagnosed with schizophrenia do not take their medication in the first year of it being prescribed. This article give some of the history of the diagnosis and management of schizophrenia and outlines the current prescribing practices in relation to the successful management and treatment of schizophrenia.
