Hotelling Model based Computation Offloading in Multi-access Edge Computing Assisted Mobile Network

In this paper, the computation offloading problem for multi-access edge computing assisted mobile network is analyzed and researched based on hoteling model. In the proposed mobile network, the computation tasks can be executed under two kinds of computation mode, the local computation mode and the offloading computation mode. We will use the hoteling model to find the threshold for switch between these two computation modes. Mobile users and edge computing server can make decisions on the profit for executing the computation tasks, which affect the threshold for the computation mode switch. Simulations are given to prove the effeteness of the proposed method.
