Polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE)microporous membranes were prepared from PTFE fine powder through a series machanical operations including extrusion, rolling and stretching. The performance of membrane pores was well characterized by determination of GTL-D Porometer and morphorogical observation of scanning electronic microscope(SEM).Experimental results showed that the membrane pore performance connecting each other was affected by PTFE powder and stretching condition. The significant differences of membrane morphorogical structures were showed at stages of mechanical operation.Biaxial stretching PTFE microporous membrane presents a more homogenius pore size and fibre net-like structure.
