Treatment of postherpetic neuralgia with Yangxueqvfengtang

Objective To determine the efficacy of Yangxueqvfengtang in treatment of postherpetic neuralgia.Methods 70 patients with postherpetic neuralgia were randomly and divided into treatment group treated with Yangxueqvfengtang and control group treated with routine therapy.Results The total effective of the treatment group was 94.28 % and the control group was 74.28%.The incidence of herpes zoster pain and PHN was significantly lower in the treatment group than in the control group(P0.05).Conclusion It is effective to treat postherpetic neuralgia with Yangxueqvfengtang..
