Diagnosis of duplication of renal pelvis and ureter with ultrasonography and X-ray

Objective To analyze imaging features of duplication of renal pelvis on ultrasound and X-ray,and compare with the results of operation.Methods Six patients with urinary calculus infection,or palpable abdominal mass during physical examination were examined with ultrasound and X-ray.Results Duplication of renal pelvis and ureter showed increased length of the kidney,notch of renal outline,and two corporations of renal sinus.Intravenous pyelography pelvis showed double pelvis and double ureter.Intraoperation revealed the repent kidney and repeat ureter.Conclusion Duplication of renal pelvis and ureter presents characteristic on imaging examinations.
