摘要
ABSTRACT Oxygen plays a crucial role in the prevention and treatment of acute altitude sickness, as well as in emergency rescue. To provide timely and adequate oxygen to patients, on‐site oxygen generation is an effective solution. Currently, there are various oxygen generation methods with distinct characteristics suitable for different scenarios. Understanding the principles, features, and recent advancements of these methods is essential for enhancing the efficiency of on‐site oxygen production. This article reviews several primary oxygen generation techniques, including cryogenic distillation, pressure swing adsorption, membrane separation, chlorate decomposition, decomposition of superoxide, and water electrolysis. Each method is discussed in terms of its underlying principles, characteristics, and latest research developments, with an emphasis on their applications in the prevention, treatment, and emergency response for acute altitude sickness. This review aims to guide the development of on‐site oxygen generation technologies tailored to diverse environments.
