摘要
Electrochemical synthesis represents a clean and efficient reaction paradigm. Paired oxidative and reductive catalysis (PORC), which utilizes catalysts as "electron shuttles" at electrodes, couples anodic oxidation catalysis with cathodic reduction catalysis, effectively enabling the cross‐coupling of highly reactive species between the two electrodes under mild conditions. This unique electrochemical strategy has seen rapid development in recent years and plays a pivotal role in electrochemistry, particularly in asymmetric synthesis. This review provides a brief overview of PORC within three distinct catalytic systems: electrophotocatalysis, biomimetic electrocatalysis, and asymmetric catalysis. It emphasizes approaches to compatible oxidative and reductive cycles in different systems, aiming to stimulate the discovery of new reactions and mechanisms.
