摘要
The fabrication of La(Fe, Si)13Hy plates is very challenging owing to the poor mechanical stability. In this work, La(Fe, Si)13 plates synthesized by hot-pressing remain mechanically robust after optimizing the hydrogenation process. The hydrogenation behavior was investigated through characterizing the phase structures and magnetocaloric effects of La0.8Ce0.2Fe11.51Mn0.19Si1.3 hydride plates. The saturated hydrogenation plates exhibit the large magnetic entropy change (12.98 J/kg·K), excellent mechanical properties (bending strength ∼ 213 MPa) and good stability under the conditions of the hydrogenating temperature of 593 K, the pressure of 0.13 MPa for 210 min.
