The braking mode simulation and analysis for high-speed railway

Braking mode of high-speed train is an important factor that affects train velocity and operation safety, the analysis of braking mode is of great significance for high-speed train's speed-up and the improvement of transport capacity. With the research into high-speed railway braking system and relative theories of the calculation analyzed, calculation of braking force, braking distance, and the target-distance mode curve, then the algorithm of braking mode curve are given in the paper, including the algorithm of the regenerative braking force, the air braking force and braking distance. In final, calculation of EMU CRH2 and CRH3 and simulation of the algorithm of braking mode are presented. The results indicate that the simulated curves keep consistent with the train braking characteristics.
