In vitroFibrinolytic Phytosterols Isolated from the Roots ofSpatholobus suberetus

Two phytosterols have been isolated as fibrinolytic principles from the roots of Spatholobus suberetus. The one active compound has been identified as stigmast-5-ene-3β,7α-diol and the other active one has been established to be 5α-stigmastane-3β,6α-diol on the basis of spectral data and chemical conversions.
