The Design and Hydrokinetics Analysis of Laminar Flow Apparatus

Purpose Design a set of experiment apparatus which can culture cells with the influence of shear stress. Methods Make flow field analysis of different laminar flow apparatus using FEM(Finite Element Methods), test whether the flow condition is up to laminar flow according to laminar flow theory so that a reasonable laminar flow apparatus is designed at last. Results The flow condition is reasonable and stable based on the results of the flow field analysis and the laminar flow apparatus can meet the demands of cell culture by the experimental test and theory calculation. Conclusion The system consisted of laminar flow apparatus is reliable and runs stable, which shows the availability of dynamic culture of different types of cells.
