In order to calculate the heat transfer coefficient of Ф25 mm×100 mm GCr15 cylindrical specimens in three different cooling methods of water spray, mist spray and oil spray, the cooling curves under different cooling methods were measured by four-channel sampling system, and nonlinear estimation method of the inverse heat conduction law was used to compute heat transfer coefficient. Then the obtained coefficient was considered as the boundary conditions to complete the simulation of the cooling curve of the center point of the probe. The calculated curves were in good agreements with the experimental ones.
