Oxalic acid was treated by Fe(Ⅲ)/O_3 system. Experimental results showed that: Removal efficiency of oxalic acid during the ozonization by Fe(Ⅲ)/O_3 system are more rapid than that obtained with ozone alone, catalytic oxidation rate of oxalic acid is taken as first-order with respect to ozone and oxalic acid concentration and the overall reaction rate constant is 2.64 M~(-1).s~(-1) which is fast more over 65 times than that of oxidation by ozone alone; some experimental parameters effect strongly on the efficiency of conversion of oxalic acid, especially such as pH value and concentration of Fe(Ⅲ). When pH=3, the degradation of oxalic acid is over 50 within 30 min. However, when pH=5, the reaction is almost restrained. The best efficiency obtained is at moderate concentration of catalyst.
