Recycle Method for the Chips of SiC_w/Al Composite by Hot Mold-press

The chips of 18%SiC w/6061Al composite were recycled by hot mold press, and the composite part in shape of cup was fabricated. Results show that the chips of composites have a good formability at 700℃. There is a good uniformity for the micorstructure and hardness of recycled composite. The mechanical properties of recycled composite are close to those of primary composite.
