Water-regulated deep eutectic solvents for sustainable closed-loop recycling of spent lithium cobalt oxide

A water-regulated deep eutectic solvent is developed for efficient recycling of spent LiCoO 2 cathodes. It enables efficient and selective Co separation, and the recycled TA–Co complex is converted into Co@C with enhanced OER activity.
