摘要
The ferroptosis process has become an alternative to overcome therapeutic resistance in various types of cancer. A non-autonomous ordinary differential equations model was developed with the aim of simulating the chrono-modulated application of a therapy based on triggering the ferroptosis process. A periodic perturbation was applied to the system in order to analyze the behaviour of cancer cells with drug resistance due to the epithelial–mesenchymal transition process. Due to this perturbation, large areas of less complexity were obtained and a reduction in mesenchymal cell populations was observed. These results contribute to a hypothesis-generating framework for investigating chrono-therapeutic modulation of treatments involving the ferroptosis process.
