Assessing the Digital Transformation Maturity of SMEs: A Systematic Literature Review

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are the cornerstone of global economic growth that is sustainable. Technological advancement, market pressure, and the Covid pandemic accelerated SMEs' digital transformation. However, the lower adaptability rate of digital technologies is a widespread issue around the world. Before implementing a digital strategy, it is critical to conduct a digital maturity assessment to determine the current state of the business. There is a lack of review articles regarding the digital maturity assessment of SMEs. Through a systematic literature search and an author keyword cluster analysis, this paper attempted to fill this gap. The paper demonstrates that this research domain could be divided into three major research clusters.
