摘要
Abstract A novel cobalt‐catalyzed reduction of 2‐pyridyl ketones and related heteroaryl compounds using formate as reductant was developed. Ketone substrate is activated by chelation with cobalt, which makes the present method highly selective. A possible reaction mechanism is proposed.
