摘要
Utilization of the axial holographic optical element (HOE) in augmented reality (AR) glasses allows to form a virtual image with large field of view. However, the eyebox size in such systems is limited due to high aberrations caused by off-axial HOE recording setup. In this paper we show how imaging system aberrations depend on position of reference and object waves of HOE recording setup. According to this investigation, we propose the optical system of AR glasses based on utilization of axial HOE, as this type of HOE provide the smallest aberrations to the imaging system. Proposed system has field of view of 60°, eyebox diameter 10 mm and spectral selectivity 12 nm. We prove our investigations by assembling and measurements of the experimental setup.
