Interfacial Science

Interfacial Science starts off by introducing the topic. It moves on to consider capillarity and the mechanics of surfaces, the absorption and the thermodynamics of surfaces, and the gas-liquid interface in terms of absorption, films and foams, and aerosols. It then looks at insoluble monolayers and Langmuir-Blodgett films, the liquid-liquid interface in terms of emulsions and membranes, and the surfaces of solids. Next, it moves on to the gas-solid interface in terms of adsorption and catalysis, the liquid-solid interface in terms of adsorption and colloids, and the biological interface.
