The basic structure and principle of a certain type of marine ultrasonic liquid level transducer was presented.On the basis of analyzing and discussing the axis sound pressure distribution feature and the insonification intensity of transducer actuated by the pulse wave,the value-determining method of the distance ‘d’ between the transmitting and receiving probe and the protective layer's thickness ‘δ’ were provided.At the end of the paper a suit of testing platform was developed for demonstrating the theoretical results.
