Laparoscopically assisted preitoneum vaginoplasty:report of 15 cases

Objective To approach the best operation for patients with congenital absence of vagina.Methods Fifteen cases(including one case of testicular feminization syndrome)are treated with laparoscopically asisted preitoneum vaginoplasty from June,2007 to December,2007.Results The laparoscopically asisted preitoneum vaginoplasties are successful without complications.Conclusion This method can simplify vaginoplasty.There is no need to install a dilitor in the patient's vagina after operation.Besides,the patient's vaginal discharge is normal and this kind of vaginoplasty offers a good outcome of sexual satisfacation.It is a ideal operation for patients with congenital absence of vagina.
