Research and application of LOCOTROL technologies for heavy haul trains on Datong-Qinhuangdao railway line

The application of LOCOTROL technology for 20 000 t heavy haul trains on Datong-Qinhuangdao railway line is analyzed in this paper.The working principle of LOCOTROL equipment is explained.According to line tests,simulation and real train running on Datong-Qinhuangdao railway line,the dynamic performance of different train deformations for 20 000 t heavy haul trains is studied.The influence of delay time of LOCOTROL equipment on the performance of heavy haul trains is discussed.Some suggestions and solutions are presented,which are useful to the safety of 20 000 t heavy haul train.
