Some Errors in Present Acupuncture and Meridian Researches: PartI

In this paper, we analyzed seven errors, which take placed in the basic researc hes and clinical treatment of acupuncture and meridians. Electro acupuncture is not acupuncture, but electrical stimulation. Because of mistake of acupoints' s ort, .the present chart of meridian pathway is not identical with the ancient classic description. The original conceptions of meridian include visible blood vessels, and the invisible meridian is the pathway for propagating qi in skin . Acupuncture for mediating qi should pay attention to stimulate skin, but not t he deep tissues. The judgments of De Qi mainly come from the sense of doctors, b ut not the sensation of patients. The very indications of acupuncture are acute diseases, but today just treating a few chronic diseases. The acupuncture effect should be defined as the body changes from several hours to several days after acupuncture. To sum up, it is crisis that the present researches and treatment o f acupuncture and meridians have deviated far from the classic theory and techno logy.
