Comparison of 10 mg and 25 mg of Empagliflozin in Patients With Heart Failure With Reduced Ejection Fraction

Although large trials1,2 suggested that sodium-glucose cotransporter-2 (SGLT2) inhibitors could ameliorate the prognosis of patients with heart failure (HF) with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF), it was uncertain whether the effects of different doses of empagliflozin on HFrEF patients are the same. The objective of this study was to compare the effects of 10 mg and 25 mg of empagliflozin on the prognosis of HFrEF patients.
