Granularity of monolayers: hard-disk model

The theory of granularity of a monolayer has been reformulated in terms of the pair correlation function of statistical mechanics. For monosized grains, the granularity can be calculated directly from the equation of state. An expression for the granularity of polydisperse systems has also been obtained by using the scaled particle theory.
