Correlation between coordination environments and sorption selectivity to 99TcO4- in two-dimensional metal-organic frameworks

While critical for TcO4- remediation, the determinants of selectivity remain unclear. Herein, we systematically elucidate the structure-TcO4- selectivity relationship in two isostructural metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) by framework and property variations. The highly selective MOF SCU-105 demonstrates exceptional selectivity and superior performance in simulated TcO4- contaminated water management.
