摘要
Thermal energy may be created from solar energy and used for many purposes. Utilizing a solar flat plate collector to capture heat energy is one of the most suitable techniques. The purpose of a solar collector is to warm air by using ambient temperature. The heated air are used in a variety of applications, including household, industrial, and crop production and management. Some disadvantages of solar air collectors are low thermal efficiency. Improved solar air heater efficiency should be accompanied by increased heat uptake from moving air and decreased heat losses to the surrounding environment. Because of this, the current effort aims to decrease the total surface-loss heat transfer coefficient and increase in collector efficiency. In order to make the system more efficient, a double-glazing system has been implemented, by adjusting the space between the absorber plate and glass plate (glass 1 and 2). This article conducted a comparison of two solar air collectors. The efficiency of the collector is improved more by recovering heat losses from the glass cover than by doubling the glass cover, according to the result. The efficiency of the collector, however, varies depending on the sun intensity, radiative heat transfer coefficient, wind speed, and convective heat transfer coefficient.
