Tooth mesh and contact analysis of spiral bevel gears based on MATLAB

The tooth surface modeling and tooth contact analysis(TCA) of spiral bevel gears have been presented.TCA of a pair of spiral bevel gears was performed in MATLAB and tooth bearing contact and transmission errors were obtained.The contact pattern is a regular quadrangle,and the function of transmission errors is approximately a symmetrical parabolic one.
