摘要
Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are regarded widely because of their intriguing structural dynamism, which sets them apart from other porous materials. Such structural flexibility or dynamism can be induced by a host of different external stimuli like pressure, temperature or light. One interesting synthetic approach to realize multi-functionality in MOFs is the use of mixed linkers, which give rise to interesting geometry and diverse functionalities. MOFs with different dimensionalities containing mixed linkers can be tuned for specific applications like gas storage/ separation, selective adsorption, drug delivery and as novel optoelectronic or magnetic materials. In this review, we have documented the development of mixed linker based flexible MOFs in all three dimensions and their specific applications. This concise review will help scientists in gathering knowledge about the work already done in this regards and help them to design mixed linker based flexible MOFs tailored for specific applications.
