A Facile Synthesis of α,α-Difluoroalkyl Ethers and Carbonyl Fluoride Acetals by Oxidative Desulfurization-Fluorination

All articles of this category α,α-Difluoro ethers and carbonyl fluoride acetals were readily prepared from thiocarboxylic O -acid esters and O , O ′-disubstituted thiocarbonate, respectively, in moderate to good yields by the action of tetrabutylammonium dihydrogentrifluoride and N -bromosuccinimide or N -iodosuccinimide.
